Calvins Omwenga does not have any fresh injury concerns hampering his preparations ahead most anticipated between Egerton University student leaders and Kuresoi South Police Fc on Saturday at Egerton University Pavilion.
Honorable D.Makau ( Student chair) will slot into the starting lineup right away, slotting alongside Hon Sylvester B and B Oyagi in the attacking unit.
As Sylvester B will be pulling the strings higher up the pitch, Makau and B Oyagi will pose a threat with their movement, with giving them the freedom to roam in the final third.
The two wing-backs will once again hold the key for Egerton, with Chemonges and Odero looking to exploit the defensive vulnerabilities of Kuresoi South Police FC .
In the middle of the park, O Calvin,Dan and Gift will focus on providing a solid base from midfield.
With the defensive unit of Najib and Mulongo in line to return to the lineup as Ekum takes his place in Goal
The two Chelsea wing-backs have been unstoppable lately. However, Makau is once again our Player to Watch in Egerton game , as he is given another chance to stake a claim for a regular role in the Egrton’s starting lineup.
With Sylvester B going from strength to strength, he has it all to do to tip the scales in his favour.
The anticipated international player will fancy his chances against a frail Kuresoi South Police Fc defence, though, it will be interesting to see if he will grab his opportunity with both hands on Saturday.
And with the wing-back duo of Oyagi and Oyagi in blistering form, it looks like Egerton will trash mercilessly the visitors as they have more than enough quality to grab all three points here, possible with a clean sheet in tow.
According to Student Chair, Mr Makau, the game was arranged to gap the the bridge between Police and Comrades
“This is a good way to bridge the gap between the police and the youths(comrades)…And the hashtags #polisirafiki #saynotostress #communitypolicing brings this out clearly. It’s also a good interaction platform with the police and a little fun time,” Makau.
The special guest Cunty Police Commander Beatrice Kiraguri while speaking to Lumbasi Daily, echoed Makau’s sentiments by insisting on purpose of community policing and partnership.
“The aim of arranging this game is to interact with the students. University students mostly interact with us when we are throwing teargas to them which is quite unfortunate. So through this we be friends and share information.” She said.
